This home in Ligonier has an incredible panoramic view of the Laurel Mountains. The project was a complete redo, a second iteration of the home that was done for the previous homeowners when it was built over 20 years ago. The client desired a calm, neutral retreat where they could escape from their city home. The first iteration for the former homeowners was formal and traditional in style, full of color, pattern, heavy furniture and opulent window treatments. This iteration is the complete opposite. All of the hand painted murals, faux finishes, fabric wallcovering and wallpaper were replaced with white painted walls throughout. The furnishings were tailored using natural textured fabrics along with natural fiber rugs and simple window treatments that framed and softened the windows but still allowed for the full mountain views. The introduction of some live edge wood furnishings, especially the stunning 10 foot long Dining Table, gives a nod to the great outdoors.
